Description

Advocate with Volunteers of America Colorado Branch on Public Policy issues affecting our organization, our clients, and all vulnerable groups within our communities.

Volunteers of America's vision that "we will go wherever we are needed and do whatever comes to hand" is embodied in the variety of services we provide to the most vulnerable members of the community. Our organization believes that every man, woman and child should be treated with respect and dignity and not only receive the individualized supports they need, but also the hope they deserve to work toward self-reliant lives.

As part of our dedication to serving those in need, the Volunteers of America Colorado Branch has developed the Public Policy Initiative to advocate for issues affecting our organization, our clients, and all vulnerable groups within our communities. The goal of this initiative is to effect change through education and legislative advocacy. We look forward to the future as our committee of staff and volunteer advocates, the Community Outreach and Advocacy Committee (COAC), works toward ensuring that the voices of those in need are heard.

Volunteers of America invites you to learn more about the issues we care about, how we advocate, and the ways you can get involved. With your help, we can ensure that the voices of those in need are heard.
